Scheduled Task In Windows Xp


Step 1: Goto "START MENU" and click on "ALL PROGRAMS".



Step 2: Then goto "PROGRAMS" and then click on "ACCESSORIES".



Step 3: Then goto sub menu "SYSTEM TOOLS" and Click on "SHEDULED TASK".



Step 4: Or goto "CONTROL PANEL" and click on "SCHEDULED TASK".



Step 5: A window will be opened with an option to "ADD SCHEDULED TASK".



Step 6: By clicking on "ADD SCHEDULED TASK" a "SCHEDULED TASK WIZARD" will be opened to shedule a task.



Step 7: After clicking on next , a window will be opened to select a program to schedule it to a particular time. You can even browse a file from other location.



Step 8: For example select a command prompt task to schedule it to a particular time and then click next.



Step 9: Then give the name for the task if neccessary and select the task performance option and then click next. ( For Example :- "one time only" ).



Step 10: Then select the "TIME" and "DATE" on which the task to be executed and click next.



Step 11: Then enter the username and password if neccessary and click next.



Step 12: Check the "OPEN ADVANCED PROPERTIES FOR THIS TASK WHEN I CLICK FINISH" and click finish.



Step 13: Dont worry if a warning message pop ups like

"THE NEW TASK HAS BEEN CREATED, BUT MAY NOT RUN BECAUSE THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION
COULD NOT BE SET.
THE SPECIFIC ERROR IS:
0X80070005: ACCESS IS DENIED.
TRY USING THE TASK PAGE BOWSE BUTTON TO LOCATE THE APPLICATION"

Click ok.



Step 14: This error occurs probably when you are using an user account other than
administrator account.

Step 15: After clicking ok then a window will be opened with the schedule task name.



Step 16: In the column of run, add "C:" at the last and dont forget to check the "run only if logged on" option (if you are using other account) and click ok.



Step 17: Then the task will run as per the shedule given.


Note :- you can also schedule task file like batch files , vbs files etc.

Change Mouse Cursor In Windows Xp


Step 1: Goto "Start Menu" and open "Control Panel".





Step 2: Then double-click on mouse icon.





Step 3: A window with all "Mouse Properties" will be opened.





Step 4: There are 5 options namely "BUTTON" , "POINTERS" , "POINTER OPTIONS", "WHEEL" , "HARDWARE".



Button :- Here you can change the button configuration of your mouse from primary to secondary. Here Primary refers to left-click. You can also vary the speed of the mouse click. You can also "turn on" the click lock. By doing this the click will not work for certain peroid of time.





Pointers :- You can select the type of scheme you want your cursor to look like (For eg :- Hand ,Dinosaur ,horse etc). Then you can even customize your cursor with other cursors.





Pointer Options :- In this option you can increase the speed of the pointer. You can also check the Dailogbox for which you can make your cursor to point directly to a default button. There are "visibility" options by which you can "Display pointer trail" , "Hide your cursor while typing" , "show location of pointer when pressed ctrl key.





Wheel :- In this option you can set the mouse to scroll for a desired number of lines.





Hardware :- Description about the mouse which has been connected and the functioning of the mouse.

Magnifier In Windows Xp

Magnifier In Windows Xp





Step 1: First goto "start menu".



step 2: Then goto "all programs" and then to "accessories"

step 3: After going to accessories then goto "accessibility"



step 4: Then click on "magnifier" option.



step 5: You will get a window on the top with every thing magnified where ever you move the mouse pointer.



step 6: You can also increase the magnifier level by which you can see even the tiny objects.

step 7 There are many more options which can help you to view anything clearly.
